Congrats to Susan Guidry, next District A council woman! Despite spending twice as much as Guidry, Batt got just 37.66% of the vote.

Keith, Your hard work, your tireless efforts, your focused passion to defeat Batt are commendable. I hope you are still smiling as broadly as you were all night on Saturday. It was a wonderful victory for you, for Susan and for all of the people in District A ,whether some of them know this yet or not. Hopefully, they will soon when Susan takes the office and begins her own vision and improvements for our district and city. The number of votes and the record of precinct and after precinct who went away from Batt's lies about Susan, his racially charged messages and the negative undercurrents of his whole campaign is heartening. You're the bomb!

I could not believe this "man" was running for election again! I used to live in his district, and he was so awful. Only in it for himself. I guess he was counting on the fact that the voting public has a very short memory. In his case, I am happy to see that he underestimated the public! Congrats to Guidry. Batt needs to give up politics and get a real job, just like ALL career politicians!
